Common migrant.

Identification

Similar to a Stonechat but with a prominent white supercilium and white bases to tail feathers in flight. Males more colourful than females, with red-ochre throat and breast which is paler in females.

Movements

Prenuptial migration with peaks in 2nd hf. April; postnuptial migration in 2nd hf. September and 1st hf. October.
