Abundant resident in wooded areas.
Identification
The smallest of the finches, yellowish-green. Rounded head with stubby bill. In flight, bright yellow rump and boldly-streaked greenish back and wings. Males have bright yellow on face and breast, and a white belly. Females are duller with a yellow rump. Juveniles are like females, but lack yellow.
Movements
Prenuptial peaks in 1st hf. March; postnuptial peaks in 2nd hf. October and 1st hf. November.
