Presence in the Strait

Scarce resident of rocky areas; at Ceuta there have only been records in March, June and July.

Identification

Unmistakable corvid with long, decurved red bill and legs, and acrobatic flight. Short, square tail. Juveniles have shorter bills with orangey tones. They can be confused with a Jackdaw, but are larger with broader wings.

Movements

Sedentary, with short-distance movements outside the breeding season.
