Common resident of forests.
Identification
Very large finch, with very big, bluish-grey conical bill. Rusty-brown underparts and black bib. Umber-brown upperparts. In flight, blackish wings with large white patches and short tail, broadly-tipped white. Males have brighter colours than females. Juveniles have brownish upperparts and greyish-yellow underparts with dark spotted belly.
