Common summer visitor to coastal grasslands.

Identification

Smaller and paler than a Calandra Lark, narrower and sharper bill, plain underparts and less prominent neck patches. In flight, pale underwings lacking white trailing edge and dark under tail. Whitish supercilium contrasts with rufous-tinged crown and dark line behind eye.

Movements

Peaks in April and 1st hf. September.
