Scarce winter visitor to coastal wetlands and marshes (<20).

Identification

The largest of the Shanks with softer tones. Bill slightly upturned, greyish-green, as are the legs. Tail almost white without markings.

Déplacements

Peaks in 2nd hf. April and 1st hf. September.

Reprises de bagues

Holland (1), Sweden (1). A bird ringed in Germany on 2.11.84, was controlled on 16.12.84 on the marshes of the Marismas del Palmones, some 2,376 Km. distant. Scolopacidae Archibebe Oscuro ad.W Archibebe Común Archibebe Claro
