Rare migrant to coastal wetlands.

Identification

Medium-sized bird, light grey, slim, with long red legs and bill, very similar to the Redshank, but slightly larger, with a more clearly defined supercilium. No wing-bars in flight. In summer, has black legs and plumage.

Déplacements

Prenuptial migration from the middle of March through to the middle of May with peaks in 1st hf. April; postnuptial in September and October.
