Scarce winter visitor to coasts (<10) more common during migration.

Identification

Similar to the Black-winged Stilt but more robust and compact. Black and white plumage with red bill and legs. In flight, visible white wing bar and rump. In winter, adults display a white streak on chin.

Déplacements

Peaks in April and 1st hf. September.
