Scarce summer visitor to wild olive groves. Numbers are falling (15-20 pairs).
Identification
Similar to a Nightingale but with black and white spots at the end of its reddish tail that are more visible in flight, white supercilium and dark eye-stripe. Often spreads tail and jerks it upwards.
Déplacements
Peaks in 1st hf. May and 1st hf. September. Prunellidae Acentor Común Acentor Alpino Grey breast and head, mantle densely marked with dark streaks. Black and white speckled throat and chestnut-streaked flanks. Yellow base of bill and white tips to tail. In flight, it shows black wing bars with white edges. Confident and gregarious. Movements: The first birds arrive towards the beginning of November and can be seen until March. Turdidae Alzacola Rojizo
