Scarce migrant to coastal areas from Northern Siberia. An odd winter visitor occasionally remains on Western shores.

Identification

Summer plumage is similar to that of the Knot, but smaller, slimmer and with a long curved bill. In flight, white rump and legs that protrude slightly beyond the tail.

Déplacements

Peaks in 2nd hf. April and 1st hf. September.
