Common resident in forests. The subspecies seen in the area is Aegithalos caudatus irbii, that is found in Central and S Iberian Peninsula.

Identification

Small; short wings and very long tail. Pinkish underparts and grey upperparts with black wings. Broad, dark supercilium that reaches as far as the nape; white ear-coverts with dark streaks; white throat and crown; black tail with white fringes and tips. In autumn and winter forms mixed feeding parties with other Paridae and their allies.
